Title: Black Fish - White Fish Medium: Acrylic on Canvas Dimensions: 1200mm x 800mm / 47” x 31” (Framed) Price: SOLD! |
Description:
In this painting… the majority of the Black Fish are heading left towards the Light… while the majority of the White fish are heading towards the Dark… Opposites attract!
Notice however, that ALL fish are swimming in the same ‘system’… and that those fish that a closest to the extreme Left and extreme right… are also the furthest away from a common ‘middle ground’!
Interestingly some Black/White fish appear to be confused (or informed/awake/enlightened) and are heading in the opposite direction to their Black/White majority.
Dualism (from the Latin word duo meaning "two") denotes a state of two parts. The term 'dualism' was originally coined to denote co-eternal binary opposition, a meaning that is preserved in metaphysical and philosophical dualitydiscourse but has been diluted in general or common usages. Dualism can refer to moral dualism, (e.g. the conflict between good and evil), mind-body or mind-matter dualism (e.g. Cartesian Dualism) or physical dualism (e.g. the Chinese Yin and Yang). Dualism holds to the belief that there are two elements of existence: Physical and Spiritual.
