Dear Adam,
As a Collingwood supporter I was appalled at see the sledging incident that occurred at the match on Friday evening… and impressed by the way you’ve subsequently handled the situation in the media.
I was painting on Saturday while listening to ‘Gibbsy & Fatty’ on 2UE taking caller feedback and commenting on Adam Goodes, racial sledging, etc… and it must have had an impact on my sub-conscious!?
I’m never quite sure what the outcome will be when I start a new painting… and the ‘images’ I see may differ from what you and others may or may not see… but that’s the point of Art appreciation!
My impression of the below… Hung this way, I see a ‘White Swan’ on the right side … and the ‘Ghost Angel’ image looking towards the ‘Girl with the Redish Hair’ on the left side?
Or… hung the other way around… I see the ‘Goodsy Face’ image at the top right hand corner!?
Anyway, I noticed in your profile that you are prominently involved and associated with several indigenous sports and community programs… so I wonder if you would accept this painting as a donation that you could use for a worthy cause (auction, prize, decoration for the community centre…)?
If you’re interested to receive the painting… just let me know the preferred delivery address and I’ll send it to you in a roll by courier post… You’ll need to arrange for the framing at your end.
I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Yours Sincerely,
